AN ACT CONCERNING DRUG-RELATED ACTIVITY BY TENANTS IN PUBLIC HOUSING.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to provide that cause for termination of tenancy in public housing shall be any drug-related criminal activity, on or off the premises of such public housing, engaged in by a public housing tenant, any member of the tenant's household or any guest or any other person under the tenant's control.

Statement of Purpose: 

To provide public housing authorities with the discretion to evict tenants involved in any drug-related criminal activity.
