AN ACT AUTHORIZING BONDS OF THE STATE TO THE CITY OF WEST HAVEN FOR SIDEWALKS AND BICYCLE LANES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the State Bond Commission be empowered to authorize the issuance of bonds of the state in accordance with section 3-20 of the general statutes, in principal amounts not exceeding in the aggregate one million eight hundred thousand dollars, the proceeds of which shall be used by the Department of Transportation for the purpose of providing a grant-in-aid to the city of West Haven for installation of sidewalks and bicycle lanes between the Metro-North train station and the Yale West Campus.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide funding to install sidewalks and bicycle lanes for the 1.5 miles between the Metro-North West Haven train station and the Yale West Campus.
