AN ACT CONCERNING THE EXTENSION OF THE VALIDITY OF CERTAIN METRO NORTH COMMUTER RAIL PASSES AFTER RAIL SERVICE OUTAGES LASTING MORE THAN FORTY-EIGHT HOURS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to require the extension of the validity of any weekly or monthly Metro North commuter rail pass by a length of time equal to the length of time in any such week or month in which commuter rail service is unavailable, provided such service is unavailable in such week or month for more than forty-eight hours.

Statement of Purpose: 

To ensure that certain commuter rail weekly and monthly ticket holders are credited when rail service is not being provided.
