AN ACT CONCERNING THE USE OF REVENUE FROM BUS AND RAIL FARE INCREASES FOR SERVICE UPGRADES, OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require that the Department of Transportation use an amount equal to the amount of any revenue raised from fare increases on bus and rail passengers in Connecticut for upgrades to bus and rail service, operations and maintenance.
Statement of Purpose:
To require that the scheduled bus and rail fare increases be used for bus and rail service upgrades, operations and maintenance.
