25 | 25 | That part III of chapter 104 of the general statutes, concerning fire departments, be amended to require the name of an applicant for the position of firefighter be placed in the first position on the list of eligible candidates for hiring or on the reserve roster for appointment if such applicant is the son or daughter of a firefighter who, while in the performance of such firefighter's duties, was killed or sustained injuries that resulted in such firefighter's death, provided such applicant meets the entry level requirements for such position such as passing a written and physical examination. | |
