AN ACT PROHIBITING THE TAXATION OF DEALER CONVEYANCE FEES OR PROCESSING FEES ASSOCIATED WITH THE SALE OF A MOTOR VEHICLE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to prohibit the taxation of any dealer conveyance fee or processing fee, as described in section 14-62 of the general statutes, associated with the sale of a motor vehicle.
Statement of Purpose:
To prohibit the Department of Revenue Services from taxing dealer conveyance fees or processing fees charged in conjunction with the sale of a motor vehicle.
