AN ACT CONCERNING A STUDY OF THE SALE OF LAND ACQUIRED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR THE PURPOSES OF IMPROVEMENTS TO ROUTE 7 AND THE USE OF THE PROCEEDS FROM SUCH SALE FOR OTHER TRANSPORTATION PROJECTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the Commissioner of Transportation shall, within available appropriations, conduct a study to evaluate the sale of land acquired by the Department of Transportation for the purposes of improvements to Route 7 and the use of the proceeds from such sale for other state transportation projects. Not later than February 1, 2014, the commissioner shall submit a report of the commissioner's findings and recommendations, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a of the general statutes, to the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to transportation.
Statement of Purpose:
To study the sale of land acquired for the expansion of Route 7.
