AN ACT CONCERNING THE LICENSURE OF PERSONS ENGAGED IN DOG IMPORTATION.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to require that any person who applies for a license or the renewal of a license for the importation of dogs be required to certify, under penalty of perjury, that such person's business is not the subject of any legal action, investigation or prosecution. Furthermore, that the licensing authority for such businesses verify such certified information and not issue such license to any person that is the subject of any such legal action, investigation or prosecution. 

Statement of Purpose: 

To assure that persons engaged in the business of importing dogs are suitably conducting such businesses.
