AN ACT REQUIRING THE NOTIFICATION OF THE DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE BY FARMS THAT USE BATTERY CAGES OR VEAL OR GESTATIONAL CRATES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require that any farm that uses battery cages or veal or gestational crates notify the Department of Agriculture of such use.
Statement of Purpose:
To identify those farms that use battery cages or veal or gestational crates.
