AN ACT CONCERNING REGISTRARS OF VOTERS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That title 9 of the general statutes be amended to require any registrar of voters who is seeking reelection to step down from their office during the period of the campaign after the endorsement process and that the Secretary of the State shall assume responsibility of any such office.

Statement of Purpose: 

To require a registrar of voters seeking reelection to step down from their office during the period of their campaign after the endorsement process.
