CANDELORA, 86th Dist. REP. KLARIDES, 114th Dist. AN ACT ENCOURAGING STUDENTS IN TEACHER PREPARATION PROGRAMS TO TUTOR CHILDREN FROM POORLY PERFORMING SCHOOL DISTRICTS. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That title 10a of the general statutes be amended to require public institutions of higher education to offer partial tuition reimbursement to a student in a teacher preparation program for any semester during which such student tutors a student from a poorly performing school district in this state. Statement of Purpose: To encourage potential educators to help those students most in need.
