CANDELORA, 86th Dist. REP. KLARIDES, 114th Dist. AN ACT WARNING STATE ASSISTANCE BENEFICIARIES OF THE CONSEQUENCES OF FRAUD. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That title 17b of the general statutes be amended to require that any state-funded advertisements or public service announcements promoting enrollment in state-administered assistance programs include warnings to recipients and providers about the consequences of fraudulently obtaining said assistance. Statement of Purpose: To alert recipients and providers of the consequences of fraudulently obtaining state-administered assistance thereby deterring fraud and instilling accountability.
