AN ACT INCREASING THE MAXIMUM DAMAGES THRESHOLD FOR MONEY DAMAGES IN SMALL CLAIMS ACTIONS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That subsection (d) of section 51-15 of the general statutes be amended to increase the maximum threshold for money damages in small claims actions from five thousand dollars to ten thousand dollars.
Statement of Purpose:
To increase the maximum money damages threshold in small claims actions from five thousand dollars to ten thousand dollars.
