AN ACT CONCERNING UNEMPLOYMENT COMPENSATION AND PART-TIME, TEMPORARY AND SEASONAL EMPLOYEE ELIGIBILITY.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to establish a minimum threshold of not less than one thousand hours of work before part-time, temporary or seasonal employees are eligible for unemployment benefits.

Statement of Purpose: 

To allocate the state's limited unemployment benefits to employees who have worked a minimum number of hours.
