AN ACT CONCERNING THE HOME IMPROVEMENT ACT AND THE HOME SOLICITATION SALES ACT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to specify that a contract under the home improvement act or home solicitation sales act is unenforceable against a homeowner or potential homeowner if such contract contains a clause requiring mandatory alternative dispute resolution.
Statement of Purpose:
To protect the rights of homeowners and potential homeowners to access the courts.
