AN ACT CONCERNING THE GRANTING OF FEE WAIVERS FOR SERVICE OF PROCESS COSTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 52-259b of the general statutes be amended to require that any person seeking a waiver of fees for service of process costs shall provide the court with tangible proof of indigency prior to the court granting a fee waiver for such service of process costs.
Statement of Purpose:
To require any person seeking a fee waiver for service of process costs to provide the court with tangible proof that such person is truly indigent.
