AN ACT CONCERNING REVISIONS TO THE COMMON INTEREST OWNERSHIP ACT.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That chapter 828 of the general statutes be amended to (1) require that board meeting agendas be made available to unit owners not less than forty-eight hours prior to the time of the board meeting, (2) require the association to provide proxy forms to unit owners for any votes that may be held at association meetings and that the proxy shall not contain the name of the proxy holder, (3) make explicit that property managers shall comply with the Common Interest Ownership Act and all association bylaws, and (4) require documentation be kept and made available to unit owners regarding monies transferred out of or between reserve accounts.

Statement of Purpose: 

To make various changes to the Common Interest Ownership Act.
