2627 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

28-Section 1. (Effective July 1, 2013) The Labor Department shall initiate a study to determine how an increase in the base period wages required for unemployment benefit eligibility may affect the health and productivity of businesses within the state. The department shall submit, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a of the general statutes, the findings of such study to the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to labor and public employees on or before February 1, 2014.
