AN ACT CONCERNING MONTHLY REDUCTIONS OF UNEMPLOYMENT COMPENSATION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require an individual's unemployment compensation benefits to be gradually reduced during each month of unemployment to an amount equal to fifty per cent of the full amount of such benefits during the final month of payment.
Statement of Purpose:
To decrease costs and to encourage individuals to seek employment by gradually reducing the total amount of unemployment compensation benefits over the course of the payment of such benefits.
