AN ACT LIMITING PROPERTY TAX INCREASES FOR SENIORS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to cap property tax increases for seniors to a percentage not to exceed the corresponding Social Security per cent increases in the most recent benefit year.
Statement of Purpose:
To protect seniors living on fixed incomes from facing increased property taxes.
