AN ACT CONCERNING REIMBURSEMENT FOR SERVICES PROVIDED AT SCHOOL-BASED HEALTH CENTERS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require school-based health centers to seek reimbursement from Medicaid and private insurance for services provided as a condition of receiving state funds and to allow school-based health centers to contract with a local entity for the entity to provide billing services in exchange for a small percentage of the reimbursement received.
Statement of Purpose:
To obtain eligible Medicaid reimbursements and commercial insurance payments for services rendered in school-based health centers.
