AN ACT CONCERNING THE RATE OF REIMBURSEMENT TO MUNICIPALITIES FOR PHOSPHOROUS REMOVAL AT SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to increase the rate of reimbursement to municipalities for phosphorous removal at sewage treatment plants to fifty per cent or the same rate of reimbursement for addressing combined sewer overflow.
Statement of Purpose:
To assist municipalities in removing a locally significant pollutant that is a specific sewage treatment problem for certain towns in south central Connecticut and the greater Danbury area.
