AN ACT PROHIBITING CERTAIN CONFINEMENT OF CALVES RAISED FOR VEAL AND SOWS DURING GESTATION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to prohibit the confinement of calves raised for veal and sows during gestation in a manner that prevents such animals from turning around freely, lying down, standing up or fully extending their limbs.
Statement of Purpose:
To prohibit certain confinement of cows raised for veal and sows during gestation.
