AN ACT CONCERNING GRANTS IN LIEU OF TAXES MADE TO THE UNIVERSITY OF CONNECTICUT HEALTH CENTER.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to designate The University of Connecticut Health Center as a nonprofit general hospital facility for purposes of section 12-20a of the general statutes, provided the designation for that portion of John Dempsey Hospital that is used as a permanent medical ward for prisoners under the custody of the Department of Correction pursuant to section 12-19a of the general statutes shall not be redesignated.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide higher grants in lieu of property taxes for The University of Connecticut Health Center.
