AN ACT CONCERNING STATE-FUNDED CHILD CARE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 319rr of the general statutes be amended to exempt state-funded child care programs from a requirement that they answer a request for proposals to receive a state contract and to ensure adequate funding for sufficient child care slots.
Statement of Purpose:
To stabilize the state-funded child care system and ensure that needy parents can gain access to quality child care.
