AN ACT CONCERNING THE PENALTY FOR ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF AN ASSAULT WEAPON.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 53-202c of the general statutes be amended to increase the penalty for illegal possession of an assault weapon from a class D felony to a class C felony.
Statement of Purpose:
To increase the penalty for illegal possession of an assault weapon from a class D felony to a class C felony.
