AN ACT CONCERNING SPECIAL CONSTABLES AND DISABILITY BENEFITS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 7-433c of the general statutes be amended to include special constables, as defined in section 7-92 of the general statutes, in addition to policemen and firemen as individuals who are eligible to receive compensation and medical care in the event that they suffer an impairment of health caused by hypertension or heart disease.
Statement of Purpose:
To ensure that special constables are eligible for benefits if they are disabled or die as a result of hypertension or heart disease.
