AN ACT CONCERNING THE COST TO TRANSFER MEDICAL RECORDS TO A HEALTH CARE PROVIDER.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 20-7d of the general statutes be amended to require health care providers to provide patients' medical records to another provider at no cost, or limited cost, to the patient.
Statement of Purpose:
To protect patients from excessive charges for the provision of their medical records to another health care provider.
