AN ACT CONCERNING A MORATORIUM ON THE CLOSURE OF GROUP HOMES OPERATED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF DEVELOPMENTAL SERVICES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 319b of the general statutes be amended to prohibit the closing of any group home operated by the Department of Developmental Services, including the Hartford regional center group home located in Newington.
Statement of Purpose:
To prevent the disruption of current, long-term group home clients.
