AN ACT CONCERNING THE SALE OF DISABLED AND ABANDONED MOTOR VEHICLES TO SATISFY THE COST OF TOWING SERVICES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to allow any person or company that is not compensated after towing any disabled motor vehicle from the scene of an accident or any abandoned motor vehicle to sell such vehicle and apply the proceeds of such sale toward the debt owed for the cost of such towing.
Statement of Purpose:
To ensure that towing companies are compensated for towing certain motor vehicles.
