AN ACT REQUIRING INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR AND THE REGISTRATION OF CERTAIN MOPEDS, SCOOTERS AND MOTORBIKES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require the operator of any motor-driven cycle authorized for road use, including any moped, scooter or motorbike, regardless of the horsepower or engine size of such motor-driven cycle, (1) to register such motor-driven cycle with the Department of Motor Vehicles, and (2) to maintain motor vehicle insurance coverage for such vehicle.
Statement of Purpose:
To indemnify against property or medical loss caused by the operation of certain vehicles on Connecticut's roads.
