AN ACT CONCERNING THE COST EFFECTIVENESS OF INSTALLING HANGING HEIGHT RESTRICTORS AT ENTRANCES TO THE MERRITT AND WILBUR CROSS PARKWAYS. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the Commissioner of Transportation examine and compare, within available appropriations, the costs of installing hanging height restrictors at each entrance to the Merritt and Wilbur Cross Parkways to the costs caused by motorists in violation of height restrictions on the Merritt and Wilbur Cross Parkways, including any cost to repair damage caused by such motorists and any cost associated with traffic delays related to any such violation, to determine whether it is cost effective to install such hanging height restrictors. Statement of Purpose: To prevent maximum height limit violations on the Merritt and Wilbur Cross Parkways.
