AN ACT CONCERNING MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID TRAINING AND ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TEACHERS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to develop a pilot program to provide mental health first aid training to elementary school teachers.

Statement of Purpose: 

To create a pilot program that would train teachers in mental health first aid techniques so that such teachers would be more adept at recognizing early symptoms of mental health problems in children.
