AN ACT CONCERNING THE DESIGNATION OF POLITICAL PARTIES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 157 of the general statutes be amended to reserve the term "Independent" for only candidates who are not enrolled with a designated political party.
Statement of Purpose:
To clarify the designation of political parties.
