AN ACT CONCERNING THE NATIONAL POPULAR VOTE FOR THE SELECTION OF PRESIDENT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 9 of the general statutes be amended to allow for the election of the President of the United States by direct popular vote.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide the citizens of small states like Connecticut the opportunity to more fully participate in the process of selecting the President of the United States.
