AN ACT CONCERNING AN EXCEPTION IN THE AFFORDABLE HOUSING LAND USE APPEALS PROCESS FOR MUNICIPALITIES THAT CONSTRUCT HOUSING FOR SENIORS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 8-30g of the general statutes be amended to reduce the affordable housing mandate from ten per cent to nine per cent for municipalities that develop affordable housing for seniors.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide towns with an incentive to develop affordable housing for senior citizens.
