AN ACT ENABLING EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICE ORGANIZATIONS TO ACQUIRE AND DISTRIBUTE BODY ARMOR TO EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICE PERSONNEL.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to allow organizations providing emergency medical service and employing emergency medical personnel to acquire body armor and to distribute such body armor to such emergency medical personnel.
Statement of Purpose:
To allow providers of emergency medical services to purchase and distribute body armor to emergency medical personnel so that these first responders will be protected in crisis situations.
