Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the general statutes be amended to authorize tax assessors to consider property use and history over a set period of time when determining a property's value and to allow property owners to appeal assessments to local legislative bodies. Statement of Purpose: To allow tax assessors a look-back period when determining a property's value and to allow property owners to appeal tax assessments to the local legislative body rather than the Superior Court.
