AN ACT CONCERNING THE CREATION OF A PREFERENCE FOR SELECTION IN THE COMMISSIONER'S NETWORK OF SCHOOLS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 10-223h of the general statutes be amended to create a preference for selection in the commissioner's network of schools to those schools located in a school district with experience in school turnaround or that previously received a school improvement grant pursuant to Section 1003(g) of Title I of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, 20 USC 6301 et seq.
Statement of Purpose:
To create a preference for selection in the commissioner's network of schools for schools located in a school district with experience in school turnaround or that previously received SIG funds.
