| 27 | 27 | That chapter 529 of the general statutes be amended to (1) create an eligibility certificate for a rifle or shotgun that shall be issued by the Commissioner of Emergency Services and Public Protection upon a finding that an applicant meets the same requirements that apply to the issuance of eligibility certificates for pistols and revolvers, as specified in section 29-36f of the general statutes, and (2) prohibit any person from purchasing or receiving a rifle or shotgun or ammunition for a rifle or shotgun without a valid eligibility certificate for a rifle or shotgun. | |
