2121 AN ACT CONCERNING RETIREMENT CONTRIBUTIONS REPAID BY STATE EMPLOYEES WHO ARE GRANTED MILITARY LEAVE TO PERFORM NATIONAL GUARD DUTIES.

2323 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

2525 That section 5-180 of the general statutes be amended to provide that a state employee who was granted military leave to perform duty with the Connecticut National Guard pursuant to Title 32 of the United States Code may have such period of leave counted as state service for retirement purposes by making contributions for such period of leave by payroll deductions over a period not to exceed thirty-six months in accordance with subsection (b) of section 5-180 of the general statutes.
