23 | 23 | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: | |

25 | 25 | That title 10 of the general statutes be amended to establish a single funding stream for quality enhancement dollars and scholarship funds for teachers at state-funded child day care centers to meet the staff qualifications described in section 10-16p of the general statutes. To further require the Department of Education to honor existing contracts with state-funded child day care centers and to not issue request for proposals for such centers pursuant to section 8-210 of the general statutes. To further require the Department of Education to report to the General Assembly and the Governor on the projected funds necessary to maintain high quality school readiness programs and state-funded child care centers. | |
