2121 AN ACT CONCERNING THE ENHANCED PENALTY FOR THE SALE OR POSSESSION OF DRUGS NEAR SCHOOLS, DAY CARE CENTERS AND PUBLIC HOUSING PROJECTS.

2323 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

2525 That sections 21a-267, 21a-278a and 21a-279 of the general statutes be amended to adopt the recommendation of the Connecticut Sentencing Commission to reduce the distance from a school, day care center or public housing project, within which an enhanced penalty applies for the sale or possession of controlled substances or drug paraphernalia, to two hundred feet from the perimeter of such school, day care center or public housing project.
