25 | 25 | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: | |

27 | 27 | That section 29-38c of the general statutes, concerning the seizure of firearms in the possession of a person who poses a risk of imminent personal injury to himself or herself or to other individuals, be amended to (1) authorize any state or local police department holding such a firearm for a period of time specified by court order to dispose of such firearm upon the expiration of this period, provided the owner of such firearm does not request its return, and (2) immunize such a police department from liability to the owner of such a firearm. | |
