AN ACT CONCERNING THE FORMER SUNRISE RESORT PROPERTY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
Section 1. (Effective from passage) Not later than February 1, 2014, the Commissioner of Energy and Environmental Protection, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a of the general statutes, shall submit a report to the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to the environment on the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection's efforts to assure the safety of the former Sunrise Resort property in East Haddam. Such report shall include, but not be limited to, a description of the status of such property and its improvements and any plan that the department has for the use or sale of such property.
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:

Statement of Purpose:
To require the Commissioner of Energy and Environmental Protection to report to the General Assembly on the former Sunrise Resort in East Haddam.
