2424 AN ACT CONCERNING CERTIFICATION OF CLASSICAL HOMEOPATHS.

2626 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

2828 Section 1. (NEW) (Effective October 1, 2013) (a) The Commissioner of Public Health shall, not less than annually: (1) Obtain a list of classical homeopaths in the state that are certified by the Council for Homeopathic Certification and included in the council's directory; and (2) make such list available for public inspection.

3030 (b) The Commissioner of Public Health shall establish certification requirements for classical homeopaths. Such requirements shall include, but need not be limited to: (1) Training, education and examination requirements for applicants for certification; and (2) continuing education requirements for certified classical homeopaths.

3232 (c) Not later than July 1, 2014, no person shall engage in the practice of classical homeopathy unless the person has obtained a certification from the Department of Public Health in the form and manner prescribed by the commissioner pursuant to this section.

5050 To require (1) the Commissioner of Public Health to publish a list of classical homeopaths certified by a national organization, (2) the commissioner to establish requirements for certification of classical homeopaths, and (3) require persons who practice classical homeopathy in this state on and after July 1, 2014, to obtain a certification from the Department of Public Health.
