AN ACT CONCERNING POSTJUDGMENT INTEREST.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 673 and section 52-356d of the general statutes be amended to provide that whenever a court issues an installment payment order in accordance with a money judgment, postjudgment interest at a rate of ten per cent shall be automatically granted and shall accrue on any portion of the money judgment that remains unpaid.
Statement of Purpose:
To establish automatic postjudgment interest at a rate of ten per cent on any unpaid money judgment that is under an installment payment order.
