AN ACT REQUIRING BANKS TO OFFER POLITICAL ACCOUNTS TO POLITICAL CAMPAIGNS AND POLITICAL COMMITTEES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to require Connecticut banks to offer political bank accounts to political campaigns and political committees, provided the treasurer of the campaign or committee seeking an account provides the bank with the proper form issued to such campaign or committee by the State Elections Enforcement Commission or the Federal Election Commission.

Statement of Purpose: 

To give political campaigns and political committees greater access to political accounts.
