AN ACT CONCERNING MOTORCYCLE ENDORSEMENTS FOR MEMBERS OF THE ARMED FORCES. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That chapter 246 of the general statutes be amended to require the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles to issue a motorcycle endorsement to any active member of the armed forces who provides (1) evidence of the successful completion of a motorcycle safety course conducted or approved by the United States Department of Defense or any branch of the armed forces, and (2) the results of a recent military eye examination demonstrating that the applicant meets the vision standards adopted by the commissioner. Statement of Purpose: To ease the requirements for obtaining a motorcycle endorsement for members of the armed forces on active duty.
