AN ACT CONCERNING CERTIFICATE OF NEED REQUIREMENTS FOR MEDICAL DEVICES, EQUIPMENT AND NEW TECHNOLOGY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 19a-638 of the general statutes be amended to eliminate the certificate of need requirements applicable to medical devices, equipment and the utilization of new technology.
Statement of Purpose:
To foster competition in the medical field by easing certificate of need requirements.
